Airlines, hotels, Uber, Lyft, and recently some restaurants have been testing out and implementing surge pricing on their products- the idea that as something has a greater demand or a lower availability, that the price goes up. Now, Walt Disney Parks have entered the chat.
Daily Mail notes in their exclusive that Disney World in Orlando and Disneyland in California have had “peak” and “off-peak” pricing since 2016 that is based on the time of year that you go, but that surge pricing will be rolling out in the coming months. Under their new pricing strategy, already in effect at Disneyland Paris, admission prices to the parks will go up in real time based on demand. It’s also been noted that there will be no published price- and that the only way you will know the current price is to buy a ticket in real time.
Really though, shouldn’t tickets get less expensive as the park fills up, since I’ll be standing in line much longer to hop on Space Mountain?
