Sorry… But Brett Young just can’t “Drink With You” as he enters his “2.0”. Okay, so I am just taking the song title and upcoming album and trying to make sentences at this point. But for real- Brett Young is out with the first single in over two years fresh off of “2.0”, set to release in June. We’re playing it on BOB 95, and you can give it a listen at the bottom of this post.
“‘Drink With You’ is a song about exes that can’t seem to make good decisions when they get together and there is alcohol involved,” shares Young. “It’s a story as old as time about how it’s sometimes easy to fall back into old habits rather than move on.”
“It’s always my goal to be real and transparent and connect with my audience, whether that means writing a song about what happened yesterday or revisiting past experiences,” Young said in a statement. “It should always be about a connection with the listeners. 2.0 feels really special to me, and I’m very proud of it. I hope it makes people want to come out and see the live show even more.”
Brett is currently on his “Back To Basics” World Tour that is taking him to venues across the U.S., Canada, Australia, Europe, and the U.K. One of those stops includes Dakota Magic Casino and Event Center in Hankinson, N.D., on April 26.
